Upper Subwatershed
Photo Gallery

Welcome to the Upper Subwatershed Photo Gallery

Picture your favorite place outside to sit and think and enjoy nature.

Chances are, like many people, you are picturing a special place by a stream, a lake, river, or other special waterside spot.

People, since the beginning of time, have been attracted to water. Not only because it gives us life, but because the sight, sound and touch of it can bring quiet, solace, and reflection into our lives...

The purpose of this photo gallery is to illustrate the Rouge River and its many water resources - wetlands, streams, ponds and lakes - through photographs. We hope these photographs may represent special places for people like you to rest, think and enjoy the wonders of our natural world.

As you visit special places in our subwatershed, please consider taking a photograph and sending it to us to display in this gallery. Please include your name, where you are from, and where the photo was taken, and we will post the photo and your name on this site!

Send photographs and information to: Holly Madill, 600 W. St. Joseph, Suite 10, Lansing, MI 48933-2265; phone (517) 484-4954; or e-mail at hmadill@pscinc.com.

Water is special. These images of the Rouge River are ours to protect. The PowerPoint presentation photo gallery displays some scenic images of the Upper Subwatershed, but primarily documents some of the problems that communities, citizen groups, and residents are trying to resolve.
