| Project Description:The project inventoried, developed, and implemented a variety of maintenance and cleaning programs for catch basins within a 2,200 acre area consisting primarily of residential, commercial, and highway land uses. |

| Demonstration Aspect:The results of this pilot study were used to demonstrate the costs and benefits of this type of program for stormwater management and control. The project demonstrated the effectiveness of reducing floatable and suspended solids through regular maintenance of storm sewer catch basins. The summary report from this project was distributed to other stormwater advisory groups within the watershed to demonstrate the potential effectiveness of this type of program. |
