Project: Municipal Stormwater Planning & Renovation (SP-05)
Project #: SP-05
Lead Agency: City of Southfield
Status: Complete
Project Description:The municipal stormwater control program was renovated through the implementation of innovative structural and F & I controls. A stormwater utility for ongoing management of stormwater control issues was established.
Project/Report Summary :This 1997 report summarizes a comprehensive Storm Water Management Master Plan for the City of Southfield. The purpose of the project was to update the City’s earlier plan, which was a ‘plumbing’ plan that identified areas in the City that could be drained by a system of proposed new storm drains. Thirty years passed and either much of the previous plan had been completed or it was no longer considered relevant to the current problems that the City faces.
