Our Actions Affect Newburgh Lake
Individuals
need to take an active role in eliminating future pollution to the lake.
There are numerous actions residents can take to reduce pollution to Newburgh
Lake, including:
- Not applying fertilizers over paved surfaces such as sidewalks or
driveways.
- Not applying fertilizers or pesticides if rain is forecasted.
- Washing your car so that the soapy water doesn't run into the street.
- Stopping household hazardous waste, including car fluids, from entering
storm drains.
