What you can do to help!

Is there anything I can do to help in the restoration?

Individuals need to be supportive of the restoration process and become actively involved in eliminating future pollution to the lake. There are numerous actions residents can take to do their part in restoring Newburgh Lake, including:

- Do not apply fertilizers over paved surfaces such as sidewalks or driveways.

- Do not apply fertilizers or pesticides if rain is forecasted.

- Wash your car so that the soapy water doesn't run into the street.

- Stop household hazardous waste from entering storm drains.

- Keep your car properly maintained. Leaking oil and other fluids are significant pollutants carried in stormwater runoff.
