Enhancing Recreational Opportunities
and Habitat

One of the cornerstones of the Rouge River watershed restoration
is the enhancement of recreational opportunities and wildlife habitats.
It is a project objective to create more locations for recreation,
so that people can be more easily connected to their river and watershed.
At the same time, as we build new recreation sites, we want to also
create or improve habitats for fish and wildlife.
The Rouge project approach to recreation and habitat is three-fold:
