Maybury State Park


Maybury State Park, located off of Beck Road between 7 Mile and 8 Mile Roads, is the only state park located in the Rouge River watershed. Its almost 1,000 acres include gentle rolling terrain, open meadow, mature forest, and a variety of wildlife. The park has a living farm where visitors can experience the sights and sounds of a working farm. The park also has a horse stable, picnic shelters, a day camp building dedicated to outdoor education, a group campground (for youth organizations), trails, playground equipment, fishing ponds, and cross-country skiing.

Winter Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Every Day (Labor Day to Memorial Day)

Winter Activities

The park contains over 10 miles (15K) of marked cross-country ski trails with varying difficulty.

Park Rules You Should Know

Vehicles may operate only on entrance roads and parking lots.

Off-road vehicles are prohibited.

Horseback riding is permitted on marked bridle trails only.

All dogs must be on a leash at all times.

No hunting, trapping, or snowmobiling is pemmitted.

Ground fires are prohibited.
